M/MC Glass Beads
Glass insulators are mainly used for the transmission of microwave signals, power signals and control signals between modules and modules, modules and components with airtight requirements. They are one of the most critical components in sealed components. Glass with low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss is used as the insulating medium and supporting material. The inner and outer conductors are made of Kovar alloy material, sintered at high temperature, and gold-plated on the surface. The inner conductor has a variety of termination methods such as gold wire bonding, welding, and plug-in. It has the advantages of small structure, light weight, airtightness, and high reliability. In recent years, it has been widely used in the electronic manufacturing industry.

Basic structure
Glass insulators consist of three parts: outer conductor, glass dielectric and inner conductor. The basic structure is shown in the figure:

Reliability requirements
① Leakage rate: ≤1.01325x103-3Pa·cm3/s.
② Salt spray (corrosion): After the glass insulator is tested according to the provisions of test condition B in method 101 of GJB360B, the base metal should not be exposed on its interface or its mating surface, and there should be no serious corrosion or spotting.
③ Temperature shock: After the glass insulator is tested according to the provisions of test condition F in method 107 of GJB360B, there should be no appearance or mechanical damage. The dielectric withstand voltage of the connector, the contact resistance of the center contact, and the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) should meet the requirements of the corresponding clauses.
